We are Hayes Bath Co., a bathroom remodeling crew that works only in Delaware County and the towns around it. Bathrooms are all we do. We do not remodel kitchens on the side, we do not chase roofing work in the spring, and we do not send a general handyman to figure out your shower. Every project we take is a tub, a shower, or a full bath, measured and installed by our own crew.
Every job below is a wet-area job we can measure, build to fit, and install in about a day. Ranges are typical Delaware County numbers, printed before you ever call.
Delaware County has been one of the fastest growing counties in Ohio for three decades, and most of that growth happened in a fairly tight window. The subdivisions that spread north from Columbus through Lewis Center, Powell, and Dublin, and the neighborhoods that filled in around Delaware itself, were largely built between the early 1980s and the mid 2000s. That means thousands of local bathrooms are now carrying fixtures that are twenty to forty years old, and builder-grade fixtures were never built to last that long.
The pattern we see on almost every consultation is the same. The original fiberglass or acrylic tub and surround, installed as a single unit when the house went up, is now flexing underfoot. Hairline cracks spread from the drain. The surface has gone dull and porous, so it holds stains and mildew no matter how hard it gets scrubbed. Around it, grout lines in tiled showers have crumbled and let water behind the wall, where it quietly softens the backer board year after year.
Delaware County water makes all of it worse. Much of the county sits on limestone, and homes on wells or on city water both deal with hard water scale. Scale crusts showerheads and valves, leaves chalky rings in tubs, and speeds up the wear on every seal and finish in the room. A bathroom that looked fine at fifteen years old can go downhill fast at twenty five.
None of this means your house is falling apart. It means the wet area of your bathroom, the part that takes a beating every single day, has reached the end of its service life. The good news is that the wet area is also the part that can be replaced cleanly, quickly, and without tearing the whole room down to the studs.
Older Delaware has the opposite problem. The houses around the historic downtown streets and the Ohio Wesleyan campus, and the farmhouses out toward Kilbourne and Ashley, often still carry cast iron tubs and galvanized plumbing from another century of building. Those tubs were built to last, and many have, but their enamel is worn thin, their drains are corroded, and the surrounds fitted around them over the decades rarely match the quality of the iron underneath. Whether your bathroom is forty years old or a hundred, the wet area is where age shows first, and it is the part we replace.

One-day installation is not a shortcut. The measuring and building happen before install day, in our shop. Install day is assembly, and it runs on a schedule we will show you.
| Component | Spec |
|---|---|
| Wall system | Thick acrylic panels, grout-free, in stone-look and subway patterns. No tile grout to crack, stain, or scrub. |
| Shower base | Solid-surface base with a textured, slip-resistant floor and a molded seat option. |
| Grab-bar blocking | Solid wood blocking behind the walls at bar height, whether or not bars go in today. Future bars mount to structure, not acrylic. |
| Valve | Pressure-balancing valve, so a flushed toilet never scalds the shower. |
| Sealant | Mold-resistant sealant at every seam, color-matched to the panel. |
| Fixtures | Your pick of chrome, brushed nickel, or matte black, chosen at the design consultation from real samples. |
We install five things, and we install them well. Every one of them starts with the same free design consultation and ends with the same written flat quote.
A full shower remodel replaces a tired, leaking, or dated shower with a new low-maintenance system: new base, new wall panels, new valve and fixtures, and glass or a curtain setup that suits how you use the room. If your grout is failing or the fiberglass has stained beyond saving, this is the fix.
Our most requested project in Delaware County. We remove the tub you step over and never soak in, and put a walk-in shower in the same footprint. Same plumbing location, far easier entry, and a room that suddenly feels twice the size.
When the tub itself is chipped, rusted at the drain, soft underfoot, or a jetted model from the 1990s that has finally quit, we swap it for a new soaking tub and a fresh surround. The layout stays, the fixtures and walls around it are renewed, and the bathroom works like it should again.
For homeowners who want to keep soaking but need to stop climbing over a high tub wall, a walk-in tub offers a low entry step, a built-in seat, and grab bars where they matter. We will also tell you honestly when a walk-in shower is the better answer, because sometimes it is.
Most of the projects above can be completed as a one-day install, because the system is custom measured and built to fit before we arrive. One-day work covers the wet area of the bathroom. It is the fastest honest route from a worn-out tub or shower to a finished one.

Every project starts with a free in-home design consultation. We measure your bath, lay out real finish samples in your own light, talk through what the job does and does not need, and leave you a written flat quote. The price does not change after we start.
Prefer to talk it through first? Call us at (740) 555-0100 and we will walk you through it.
The most common job we do. Price moves with glass, fixtures, and how much plumbing has to move.
A new soaker and surround in the same footprint. The fastest, least disruptive bath fix there is.
The tub itself is most of the price. Door fit and water-heater capacity get checked at the consultation.
Honest ranges first, because that is what most people actually want to know. In Delaware County, most tub-to-shower conversions we quote land in the $9,000–$15,000 range. Bathtub replacements and shower remodels in the wet area generally fall in a similar band depending on size and finishes, and walk-in tubs run higher because of the unit itself. A full bathroom remodel, with flooring, vanity, fixtures, and layout changes, goes well beyond that, and any contractor who gives you one number for it over the phone is guessing with your money.
What moves a price inside its range is the size of the wet area, the wall system and finish you choose, fixture quality, glass enclosures, and what we find behind the old unit. Our full cost guide breaks each project type down in detail, and the only way to get an exact number for your bathroom is the free design consultation, which ends with a written flat quote that does not move.
We are based in Delaware and we work the whole northern Columbus arc. In Delaware itself we remodel baths from the historic streets around downtown and the Ohio Wesleyan campus out to the newer subdivisions along US-23 and out toward Stratford and Ashley. South of us, we are in Lewis Center and Powell most weeks, where the 1990s and 2000s housing stock is hitting exactly the age this page describes, and in Dublin, from the older neighborhoods near the Olentangy River to Muirfield and the Bridge Park side of the river.
We also work in Westerville, in Marysville over in Union County, in growing Sunbury to the east, and up in Marion. If you are in Delaware County or one of the towns touching it, you are in our service area, and the consultation at your kitchen table is free either way.

Most wet-area projects we quote, tub-to-shower conversions, shower remodels, and bathtub replacements, land roughly in the $9,000–$15,000 range depending on size, materials, and fixtures. Walk-in tubs cost more, and full remodels with flooring and vanities cost more again. Your exact number comes from the free design consultation and arrives as a written flat quote.
The wet area can, yes, when the new system is measured and built to fit before install day. That covers replacing a tub or shower and its surrounding walls. It does not cover moving plumbing across the room, new flooring through the whole bath, or a full gut remodel, and we will tell you up front if your project is one of those.
All of them. Delaware is home, but a large share of our installs are in Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Westerville, Marysville, Sunbury, and Marion. The consultation and the quote are the same everywhere we work: free, in your home, and in writing.
We inspect the plumbing, valves, and subfloor while the old unit is out, because that is the one chance to see them. Minor issues we find are discussed with you on the spot with a price before any extra work happens. Nothing gets buried behind a new wall without you knowing about it first.
Book the free design consultation. We measure your bathroom, show you real samples of the materials, talk through the options that fit your budget, and leave a written flat quote. Call (740) 555-0100 or send the short form on this page and we will call you back to set a time.
